Interim Director of Athletics
Liz Shatkus (Masucci) joined The College of New Jersey athletic department in April 2018 as the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Events. In her role, Masucci oversees the department’s facilities and event operations including the aquatic center, game operations and project management.
In September of 2020, Shatkus was promoted to Senior Associate Athletics Director for Facilities & Operations and Senior Woman Administrator at TCNJ.
Before arriving in Ewing, she worked in the athletic department at Villanova University over a seven-year stay from August 2011 to April 2018. Masucci served in multiple capacities during her time including her final as the Director of Facilities and Operations. At Villanova, she was responsible for all logistics for game operations, scheduling, facility maintenance and outside events for 24 varsity sports, seven athletic facilities and campus activities. For her final two years, she managed gameday operations for men’s basketball at The Pavilion and Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
At Villanova, Masucci managed numerous conference and national championships such as two NCAA Men’s College Cups, three Big East Track and Field Championships, three Big East Soccer Championships and three Women’s Basketball NIT Tournaments.
In addition, she worked on the five facilities renovations for Villanova: Talley Athletic Center, Finneran Pavilion, baseball locker room, soccer complex and track and field locker room and office space.
Masucci graduated from Ithaca College with a bachelor’s degree in sports media in 2010 and a master’s in sports management in 2011. She was a four-year member of the Ithaca Bombers soccer team.
